23rd July Cycling

On the 23rd July Saturday, Mr Wong, Haron and myself guided a group of 11 staff from Robobank covering Discovery Trail on bicycles. It was kinda a 'trail-run guiding' as we had not decided when to start this area of guiding and I can't think of a name for this trail. (Suggestions are welcome=) )
Third Saturdays morning seems to be fine for free guided walk but due to the lack of trained guides, we might only be able to accomodate 3 groups of 10 each time.

Anyway, here are some of the photographs one of the participant took. Despite the rain, we had a great time that morning, enjoying the beauty of nature, the mud, talking to the villagers, picking fallen durians, mangosteen, enjoying rambutans and each others' company.

Contact me if you're keen to be a guide on wheels or if you're keen to be the lead volunteer in this area=)
Thanks~!

The group posing with the small but delicious durians.

It was really pleasant surprise to find a mother sunbird reusing the nest that has been outside villager Ahamad's front door for almost a year. There was one chick in there and despite the rain, the mother bird was determined to feed her hungry chick.

Hi Adelle,

nice to see us featured on your blog. I recognised the photo on http://www.focusubin.org/ when I was describing the trip on my own blog. Thanks for the great trip, I'll be back in August with some family.

Martijn

By the way, it is Rabobank, not Robobank ....
