My first close encounter with...

A baby 'wild' boar!....

So cute!! Is it a puppy? - Someone asked when I show her the shot on my handphone.
Indeed it does look like one especially on a phone screen, so I decided to put it in the blog in case someone spot one next time and mistaken it for a puppy or mousedeer. =P
........here it looks like it's saying 'Hi' to me with it's tongue. haha....

Side-View....

Can actually call it Piglet as it is quite skinny like the pink piglet from Winnie the Pooh..

Argh.....

how it enjoys licking my hands and finger and nibbling on my wedding band (after a rambutan treat)! Bad Piglet! Sit! Sit!
Opps. Forgot that it's a pig not a puppy.

Anyway, you must be dying for more details by now.
Well, from what I know
1) The villager rescued it from the dogs - after the mummy boar scambled into the forest with the rest of the piglets without it.
2) It is well fed and have put on a fair bit of weight since it had been rescued. (heard that in the wild, animal parents may abandon or kill the weaker ones so that they can take care of the rest. Wonder if it was abandon since it was so tiny)
3) When you open the cage, let it roam freely it does'nt run away. It will come near to you and make some cute gentle sound.
4) The villager will let it back into the wild when it is bigger and stronger before it reaches adulthood. We kinda advise them to 'teach' it how to open coconuts on its own so that it can survive in the wild next time.

Don't think it can survive in the wild on its own for now at this size so that's the best the villager can do now.

Hope you'll grow up fast and strong piglet!
